Office Administrator

Part-time, 2/3 days a week, £500 p/m

The Space is a community arts hub with alcohol-free bar, venue and studios. It is ran by the charity People Without Labels SCIO. You will be assisting in weekly admin and communications to help the community, musicians and artists have more access to The Space’s resources and to help The Space become Scotland’s first renowned alcohol-free bar and venue, accessible by all.

 

Job Role:

  • Responding to all incoming emails and correspondence
  • Setting up all bookings – sending out booking forms and invoices, building online calendar, passing on appropriate info to duty and venue managers
  • Answering all studio enquiries, setting up viewings, sending leases and arranging monthly invoice payments
  • Taking minutes and sharing relevant info from certain meetings with relevant persons
  • Basic book-keeping generating and chasing late invoices and updating and categorizing transactions through the book keeping app (all training provided)
  • Basic promotion of services both venue bookings and studio rentals through The Space social media channels and email marketing to potential partners and clients
  • Attend occasional team meetings and work with the team to keep studios at full capacity and to maximise use of all venue spaces

Person Spec:

  • You will be highly organised, structured and timely
  • You will be very disciplined and self-motivated
  • You will have experience in and a desire to build strong communications structures and templates
  • You will have a highly professional yet approachable friendly demeanor both online and offline
  • You will thrive on a dynamic workload
  • You will find it easy to be self-directed and ask for help where needed

Experience and Skills:

  • At least 1 year experience in an administrative role
  • Qualifications in admin, English or relevant desired but not essential
